PLOT:

A look at the rise to fame and the epic demise of actress Marilyn Monroe, one of the biggest stars in the world.

Blonde is not a traditional biopic by any stretch of the imagination. Joyce Carol Oates' novel that inspired it is a fictionalized story of someone resembling Monroe and dramatizes elements of her life that were never expressly revealed.

WHY IT'S TRIGGERING:

SA scenes, sexual coercion, ménage à trois scene that is (personally) uncomfortable until Marilyn seems to enjoy it, I wasn't personally sure she was into it. There are also some assault scenes not SA but violence/ domestic violence also on a minor.

POSITIVE NOTE:

A never seen before Marilyn, vulnerable, traumatized and scarred woman that tries hard to find happiness in a world that wasn't able to give it to her.

Great acting from everyone involved. Keep in mind that this is not a real biopic.

Also I don't love all this exploitation of her, still. Let her rest.
